Returning SPMHA Player

RETURNING SPMHA PLAYERS (Registered with SPMHA in 2025-26):

  1. Log into your Spordle account and confirm/update your player’s Hockey Canada ID# and contact details.

  2. While in your Spordle account, go to "Members" and check under your child's "Qualifications" tab to ensure that your Respect in Sport – Parent certification is valid.  You will need to provide the completion date of your Respect in Sport certification during registration.  **NOTE**If your RIS-Parent is expired, you will need to complete Hockey Canada/Alberta's new parent certification program "The Shift Forward".

  3. Fill out the Hockey Canada Medical Information Form.  You will need to upload this as part of registration.

  4. Register HERE or through the button near the bottom of this page starting June 1.

New to Hockey

NEW TO HOCKEY PLAYERS (Haven't registered anywhere before)

  1. Create a Spordle account and generate a Hockey Canada ID# for your child.

  2. Complete Hockey Alberta's Shift Forward – Parent Certification Program (1 parent required)

  3. Prepare proof of residency (drivers license, current utility bill).

  4. Prepare age verification documents (birth certificate or passport).

  5. Fill out the Hockey Canada Medical Information Form.  You will need to upload this as part of registration.

  6. Register HERE or through the button near the bottom of this page once registration opens June 1.

PLAYERS TRANSFERRING FROM ANOTHER ASSOCIATION OR NON-SANCTIONED PROGRAM

⛔ You will not be able to register with SPMHA without completing a player transfer/approval as outlined below.  Do not register until your player movement request has been completed and approved.

If played outside of Alberta in a sanctioned hockey program last season, and registering this season with SPMHA, complete the:

 

If played within Alberta in a sanctioned hockey program last season and registering this season with SPMHA, complete the:

    • Hockey Alberta Minor Hockey Player Movement Form (follow form instructions)

    • Email the completed form to registration@spmha.ab.ca. We will then initiate a transfer request to your current Primary Association. They will approve/decline it prior to Hockey Alberta reviewing the request.

    • Note: You can complete and submit the form any time after May 1, though Hockey Alberta will begin processing only after July 1.

 

If looking to register with SPMHA after playing in a non-sanctioned program, complete the:

Wait for confirmation that the transfer is approved before registering.

Once transfer has been approved:
