Sherwood Park Minor Hockey is excited to once again host Tim Turk for a two-day series of elite shot mechanics clinics right here in Sherwood Park on Saturday, November 29th and Sunday, November 30th, 2025.

If you were part of the ’23 weekend – you know how good this was.
These sessions sold out in under a week last time — and we expect the same again.

Who is Tim Turk?

Tim Turk is an NHL Shooting & Scoring Coach – specializing in shooting mechanics, release variations, puck preparation, puck protection strategy, and related scoring techniques.

He has worked with:

  • Montreal Canadiens
  • Tampa Bay Lightning
  • Carolina Hurricanes
  • Arizona Coyotes
plus multiple National Teams overseas — and continues to work directly with active NHL players.

Tim’s focus is not “just shoot harder.”
It is about repeatable mechanics — knowledge + technique = confidence + results.

Players will learn:

  • different release types & sequences
  • puck control and “pre-shot” preparation
  • body positioning for shot efficiency
  • how to generate more power + shot velocity
  • how to recognize goalie tells & movement habits
    … and much more.

Some testimonials:

“Tim’s scientific approach to teaching players how to shoot goes far beyond what a coach at any level has the time or knowledge to do… Any player who wants to score more goals needs to spend time with Tim.”
– Trevor Timmins, VP Player Personnel, Montreal Canadiens

“Tim’s ability to focus on detailed elements of shooting and passing is what makes him so sought after. He cares about each player’s performance during the session and beyond — there’s a reason so many high-profile players choose to work with him.”
– Noëlle Needham, Legend Hockey

“The camp exceeded expectations. Tim’s knowledge is second to none, but it’s his passion for kids that stood out. Every kid said this was their favourite camp — everyone keeps asking when he’s coming back.”
– Kevin Mathers, Hockey Saskatchewan
